A Fall from Freedom

While I whine about having to work instead of nap all day, I do enjoy my job a lot. One of the reasons is because I meet an insane variety of people on a daily basis.

Since we are on the topic of animals (cats aren't my favourite animal but I will leave it at that), I wanted to tell you about the lovely people I met the other day. A team from ACRES dropped by all decked out in shirts which had slogans about saving whales/dolphins.

ACRES - Animal Concerns Research & Education Society are an incredible bunch of people who aim to create a caring and socially responsible society where animals are treated as sentient beings.

The film above, A Fall From Freedom, was screened and it broke my heart. It's ridiculous how selfish and wicked human beings can really be. If you get a chance to, I highly recommend you watch this. It's about Sea World catching dolphins/killer whales from the wild to train them to perform for us. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF WE STUCK YOU IN A LITTLE TANK TO SWIM ROUND AND JUMP WHEN I TELL YOU TO. (Angry outburst aimed at people who capture dolphins, not at you lot. But if you capture dolphins and are reading this, then F*** YOU)
People need to stop destroying our planet. WHERE ARE WE GOING TO LIVE IF YOU KEEP KILLING MOTHER EARTH.
This is really riling me up as you can see.

The shocker of the night however was when I learned that RESORTS WORLD has captured 27 wild dolphins which are being trained in the Philippines now to perform. WAIT WHAT. We are a civilized highly literate society and we are extorting animals this way? There is a special place in hell for these people.
